Introduced in the mid-1950s, the Air Command chronograph is probably the rarest Blancpain watch of its era. The Air Command automatic Flyback Chronograph is inspired by this highly sought-after vintage timepiece. The deep blue colour dial is enhanced by a fine sunburst pattern, while the chronograph counters are finely snailed. On the dial are a tachymeter scale indicating ground speeds, a 30-minute counter with three elongated markers marking three-minute increments and a 12-hour counter. Powered by the Manufacture F388B movement free-sprung balance-and-spring assembly regulated by inertia screws for increase shock-resistance. Housed in a 42.5mm case of 18ct Red gold, giving a 30 meter water resistance. Affixed to the wrist by a calfskin strap and Red gold folding clasp.
